Location Of Iraq
By: Haidar Albaghdadi
Iraq is situated at the northern tip of the Arabian Gulf. Its coastline
along the gulf is only 30 km (19 mi.) long. Its only port on the gulf, Umm Qasr, is small and located on shallow water and only small craft can dock there.
Iraq is situated in Southwest Asia and is bounded on the east by Iran
on the south by Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf, on the west
by Jordan and Syria and on the north by Turkey.
